DetailsI love all agates. It was my favorite stone to hunt and collect as a kid. Moss agates are called such due to the green color. But very often when held to the light, there is green plant material fossilized within the agate. And it sure looks like Moss or maybe seaweed. A bit of biological material from thousands, millions of years ago. And it really accounts for a much admired and sought after type of agate. An interesting fact: agate can be found in a banded variety of chalcedony, a fine grained quartz. It usually grows in rings around a common center, or in rock cavaties. Agates usually have a glassy or waxy appearance. It can be found in all colors. It is thought to bring emotional balance, calmness, focus. With Moss agates, they will bring to you unconditional love as well as the ability to offer it.
