Details1991 Haitian Coin. It absolutely shines like glass, yet maintains a frost to it. It nearly looks uncirculated. And probably was never in general circulation, but not protected in a coin flip. Haiti is a very interesting country filled with hard workers. French is their native language and roughly 80% of the population are of the catholic religion. Despite this dominant religion, voodoo is still practiced and is believed in to this day. As opposed to Catholics in almost any other country, voodoo in Haiti is not considered a "devil worshipping " ritual. It has centuries of history behind it and superstition plays a huge role. It is practiced as more of a protection from evil spirits, evil doers than to cast bad joo-joo onto someone. Still, the traditional American Catholic would be excommunicated if they were practicing voodoo. Haiti suffered great loss recently due to natural disaster and the citizens are struggling to rework their land and government. It is taking much work, which they never shy away from.
